Dear Praying Friends,
Praise the Lord with us. We just finished two great weeks of camp along the URUBU River at Camp Maranatha. We had many new campers with 10 accepting the Lord as Savior. The theme of our camps this year is Walking with Moses in life’s Battles!
We were able to help some of the campers with scholarships from some of you. Your prayers and thoughts for us at this time resulted in the Lord’s special blessings too. Thanks. Pray for decisions to be made as we begin our young people’s camp next week. We are expecting over a hundred young people.
Baptist Mid Missions has been working in Brazil since 1935, and we will be joining with colleagues all over Brazil and the US in a special celebration in Sao Paulo the first week of March. Pray for this special time and the many miles of travel for all involved. From this conference Damaris and I will be flying to the States for a six month furlough. We do look forward to this change and special trip. It will be especially good to see Mom Lankford and family and many friends of this ministry.
We also want to thank our children and spouses for their help in our work here in Brazil. All help in one way or another and Damaris and I are proud of them and their involvement here, where they grew up.

Dear Pastors, family, & Praying Friends,
In January and February we finished up three weeks of camp. We are thankful for those of you that made it possible for some of our children and young people to attend camp this year. We are rejoicing over the ten campers who accepted the Lord as Savior and others that made other decisions. Do pray for these campers as they return to their homes that they will grow in the Lord and want to serve Him. Many are from poor broken homes.
At the end of February we were packing our things and moving back to the CAMP MARANATHA, along the Urubu River, in preparation for a six month furlough. This is one of the hardest things for missionaries - packing up everything you have and storing them until you return from furlough.
In the first week of March we arrived in Campinas, Brazil for our all Brazil missionary conference of Baptist Mid Missions being 75years of ministry in Brazil. This conference happens every 5 years and is such a blessed time as we get to see other missionaries working with BMM in Brazil that we only see every 5 years.
The Guarulhos, São Paulo Airport in Brazil is where we are this Sunday afternoon, waiting for our flight to New York. This morning we were with many friends at the ESPERANCA BAPTIST CHURCH in São Paulo for Sunday School and worship.
Damaris and I are taking a six month furlough to visit those supporting churches that we were unable to visit over the last four years. Pray for us as we will be traveling most of the time that we are in the States, visiting our churches and family.
